What is a profile?
A profile is your own personal page to customize, ask your friends and family to visit when asking for donations and show your fundraising progress. Your profile page will be created for you as soon as you register. You can customize the image, text and layout on your profile page. Through the information you place on your page, you’ll tell people why you are part of the efforts to beat cancer.

Do I have to use my profile page?
You will have a profile page created for you automatically, and your name will be listed in the participant database so that those wishing to donate to your fundraising can find you. It’s up to you how much information you place on your profile page. We have found that those who share information often are more successful in their fundraising efforts.

How do I change my password or update my personal profile?
Log in to your profile page using your username and password. Once you are logged in, you will see a topic called “Updating Your Information.” Select the links to update your password and personal profile. You will be able to change your contact information, e-mail address, username and password. All changes will be made to your account immediately. There is no need to sign back in. If you have difficulties updating your profile, call the Bike to Beat Cancer office at (502) 629-8046.

How do I upload a photo to my profile page?

  • On your profile page, click the “Browse” button in the photo section.
  • In the “file upload” window that displays, select the photo you wish to place in that piece of the layout.
  • Click “open.”
  • The path to the file on your computer will display in the “browse text” box. Also, the selected photo will show up in the cell.
  • Note that you can only upload a photo in “jpeg” format.
  • Click “upload,” and the new photo should appear.

I forgot my username and password
Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. You will receive an e-mail with your username and password immediately after you register. You can request an e-mail reminder on the login page. If you still have difficulties, call the Bike to Beat Cancer office at (502) 629-8046.

Is my information secure?
Convio, the company responsible for housing and maintaining the Bike to Beat Cancer website, has made every effort to protect your information. They use industry-standard SSL encryption techniques to make sure credit card information, passwords and personal information travel securely over the Internet. An encryption engine on the database server securely stores all data.

How are donors’ credit card numbers handled?
Credit card numbers are not stored in our database. During the donation process we send the credit card number to an online processing terminal using a secure connection. The information passed back is an approval or denial for the credit card donation.

What makes this website so great?
You can register, ask for donations, collect donations and track your fundraising progress all in one place.

Can donors mail in a contribution?
Yes. If an individual prefers to mail a contribution, they can use a donation form
