Why host your own Chili's Community Clip event?

Hosting your own Chili’s Community Clip event is a great way to make a large fundraising impact for local pediatric cancer patients by involving a group at a school or organization such as a Scout troop, business or club.

We can provide you the information and tools you need to get started with planning and hosting your own Chili’s Community Clip event.

Here are the basic steps to get started:

Step 1. Select a date, time/timeframe and venue for your event/fundraiser. Give yourself a minimum six weeks in advance of the event to fundraise and plan.

Step 2. Set up an online fundraising page (or pages if you have competing teams) to raise funds in advance of your event.

Step 3. Set your fundraising goal.

Step 4. Recruit people within your organization to participate.

Step 5. Spread the word to your community. Utilize our resources to help you!

What we will provide:

  • Registration forms
  • Waivers
  • Donation envelopes
  • Donation jars (if needed)
  • Promotional giveaways for use at your event such as silicone bracelets, sunglasses, etc.
  • Chili’s Chili Pepper mascot at your event (subject to availability)

Ideas for your Chili’s Community Clip fundraiser:

For schools: You can incorporate your Chili’s Community Clip fundraiser into an assembly or sporting event.  If you have key figures in the school who would be willing to clip, trim or shave their hair at the assembly, that is a great way to motivate students, faculty and staff to participate!

For other groups: Hosting a Chili’s Community Clip fundraiser within your organization is a great opportunity to team build and bring a group together for a great cause. For more information or assistance with ideas for your Chili’s Community Clip event, contact Julie Kruer at julie.kruer@nortonhealthcare.org.

In honor of: Chili’s Community Clip events can be a great way to honor a member of your school or organization who has been personally affected by cancer. You can let the community know that you’re fundraising for local pediatric cancer patients in that person’s honor.

Don't be afraid to think outside the box for your Chili's Community Clip...

  • Jeans day: Students, co-workers, etc., pay to wear jeans for a day and donate the funds.
  • Penny wars: Classrooms, departments, salons compete to raise the most money.
  • Salon wars: Stylists compete within a salon or against other local salons to raise the most money.
  • Scissor icons: Sell paper icons and display them in your office, hallways, salon, etc.
