About Norton Children’s Hospital
As Kentucky and Southern Indiana’s only
full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital, Norton Children’s Hospital,
along with its predecessor hospitals, have cared for children for more than a
century without regard to their families’ ability to pay.
The hospital also is an advocate for the health and well-being of all children. The 267-bed hospital is the region’s only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and serves as the primary pediatric teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine. In 2007 and 2012,
Norton Children’s Hospital received the prestigious Magnet designation recognizing excellence in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Every day, Norton Children’s Hospital cares for kids with cancer. Our nationally ranked oncology staff fights alongside ouryoungest cancer patients and their families to provide care, hope and compassion. Norton Children’s Hospital is a beaconof hope and healing for children diagnosed each year with cancer and who are in ongoing cancer treatments, clinics and follow-ups.

The Children’s Hospital Foundation raises much-needed funds to benefit the more than 118,000 children from Kentuckyand Southern Indiana who visit Norton Children’s Hospital each year. With the help of the community, the Children’sHospital Foundation is able to support programs, new equipment and facilities, research, advocacy and education atKentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital.
