Welcome to My Personal Page
So many of us have been touched by cancer in our lives. Family, friends, co-workers, etc. Anyone influenced by this terrible disease generally is forever changed. Personally, I have lost a daughter to leukemia and am blessed to have a breast cancer survivor with my mother. This is just my immediate family as the list becomes quickly long when you look beyond that. Cancer took Addison away from us at an early age. It's hard to believe its almost been 5 years ago now and I am forever changed because of this. One of the ways I stay connected to Addison is by trying to give something back to fight against cancer. This year I have decided to ride in Bike to Beat Cancer. All proceeds benefit the Norton Cancer Institute with my specific funding going to the children.
My goals are simple. I can’t change that we were unable to save Addison. I do believe that we can save future lives by trying to fund research & treatment. If we can save one future life that today would not survive through funding, then we are successful. To have a chance at keeping someone else from having to experience the loss of a loved one to cancer is what drives me.
I have committed to riding the 35-mile ride and I want to make a difference for the many people touched by cancer. The funds I raise will stay right here, helping with prevention, early detection, research and treatment for this disease.
Please consider supporting my efforts to beat cancer! Thank you in advance for your help. We can make a difference!
