Donnie Fultz 100 mile Bike to Beat Cancer Update
The Bike to Beat Cancer 100 mile ride is September 9th.
Once again I will be riding the 100 mile route in support of Bike to Beat Cancer. We have formed our own Sternberg Automotive team this year and hope to eclipse last years fundraising. Already this year we have raised $7,500 from parking cars for two University of Louisville Football Games. This was a fun event and everyone was excited to be a part of raising money for Cancer Research and getting a great close parking spot for the games. Training is just getting started this year and believe me I have a Long way to go to get back into shape for 100 miles. Although this is not a race I do hope to beat my ride time from last year and hopefully get to ride with a lot of friends along the way. Again this year I will be writing the names of Family and Friends that have fought or continue battle cancer on my arms for the ride so that I can be reminded of why we are doing this. On one arm will be the ones that fought with all they had but lost their earthly battle with cancer and on the other arm will be the names of those continuing to battle it today. Please feel free to send me a message with someone you would like added to my list and they can Ride Along with me. I realize everyone can't donate and thats OK but please don't let that stop you from sending me names for the ride along. It would be my honor to carry them with me! During some of the long stretches last year where I was out of the course by myself I had plenty of time to reflect on the sacrifices from all the names written on my arms and it gave me some much needed boost to keep peddling.
Hope to see some of you out on the rodes this Spring and Summer!
